Sea
Scouts
Sea Scouting is a program segment of Venturing offered to young adults between the ages of 14 and 21. Sea Scouting is organized to promote better citizenship and to improve members' boating skills and knowledge through instruction and practice in water safety, boating skills, outdoor, social, and service experiences, and knowledge of our maritime heritage. |

38 ft. Sailing and Rowing Gig
Sail and row a replica of an 18th century French longboat. The program teaches teamwork and leadership. Youth participate in both local and international competition, and some have gone to Ireland, France, Denmark, Wales, and Italy.
Activities include:

| Cruises to surrounding islands |

Yacht Club Ship 175
Sail Boats, 21 to 26 ft., Lazers, and other small sailboats
Teaches beginning and basic sailing with the opportunity to participate in competitive sailing.
Activities include:

90 ft. Sailing Yawl, U.S. Coast Guard Licensed, Small rowing and sailing skiffs
Tacoma's Tall Ship. Teaches everything from navigation and sail handling to helmsmanship. Young people learn valuable lessons in teamwork and responsibility, while broadening their horizons and creating enduring memories
Activities include:

| Summer-long cruises in the San Juan & Gulf Islands, and Canada. |

78 ft. Motor Vessel, U.S. Coast Guard Licensed, Many small boats, Skiffs, Kayaks, Sailing Dinghie, and 26 ft. Motor Lifeboat
Program established in 1924. Teaches leadership and teamwork in addition to maritime skills -- electronic navigation, radar, engineering, small boat handling, and sailing. Youth learn self-confidence and reliance, and a lifetime of skills and memories while broadening their horizon of opportunity. Activities include:
